Congratulations and thank you to all of our Great North Runners, who on Sunday 20th September took to the streets of Newcastle to run the world's largest half marathon. We had a record number of participants this year running the 13.1 mile route and vital funds for our work.
The sun was shining which was a mixed blessing as it made the run at times challenging for some people but also glorious when the run was over. As always the Red Arrows performed a dazzling display for runners and spectators alike finishing over the charity village.
We'd like to thank all of our runners who took part and are set to raise a huge sum of money towards our work, but a special mention to two fantastic teams this year with Northern Racing running in memory of Millie Louise Hardman and Ponteland school running in memory of Andrew Wylie.
Photos from the finisher's marquee are on our Flickr pages or you can browse them below.
If you ran the race for MRF at the weekend then you can check out your finishing time here and please let us know what you experiences of the race by adding your comments.
