I had an operation for a rare brain type tumour called a acoustic nuroma which was a success. However I was unlucky in that I caught an severe infection in hospital which turned out to be meningitus ( I'm not sure what type). Fortunately I was in the right place and had a lumber drain done plus intravenous drip for antibiotics.
My recovery has been slow and still ongoing. I neede physio therapy on discharge from hospital hard to say if it was due to the operation or meningitus. I have degraded hearing now so I wear hearing aids. Also took early retirement which helped my health.
