Jay Aston and Josie Colquhoun

Bucks Fizz singer, Jay Aston, immediately recognised the signs of meningitis when her daughter Josie became unwell, as she had previously witnessed her husband fall ill with the same disease some years previously. Thanks to Jay’s quick reactions, Josie was able to get life-saving medical support. Josie has been left with damaged kidneys and necrosis scarring on her body, but the family remains positive and thankful that Josie was able to pull through.

We’re just going to take it day by day, and every day I have with my daughter is a wonderful day.
