MRF conference posters

We are now inviting submission of poster abstracts to be considered for display at our 2009 conference, 'Meningitis and Septicaemia in Children and Adults' at the Royal Society of Medicine in London on 11 and 12 November 2009.
Poster abstracts on any form of meningitis and associated infections, from a scientific or healthcare perspective will be considered, including prevention, diagnosis, management, outcome, pathophysiology, epidemiology, immunology, or microbiology.
Authors presenting abstracts must be registered as participants at the
conference. There is a discount for trainee doctors below the grade of
specialist registrar, post-doctoral fellows, nurses, members of
professions allied to medicine and students.

Participants who would like to present a poster must submit an abstract for consideration by the Steering Committee. The abstracts should be submitted in English. The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission.
Abstract submission
Please include:
- Contact details of Presenting Author
- Authors’ names (Presenting author’s name in bold)
- Details of all affiliations of all abstract authors: department, institution / hospital, city, country
- Abstract title
- Abstract text is limited to a maximum of 400 words. Standard abbreviations may be used. The abstract should be as informative as possible:
- (a) state specific object of study
- (b) state method used, if pertinent
- (c) summarise results obtained
- (d) state conclusions reached.

Katherine Rowe, if possible as a Microsoft Word document attached to your message.
Abstracts accepted will be published in the Conference Programme Booklet and on this website. There will be a prize for the best poster. Instructions for preparation of posters will be sent together with the acceptance notification.
