London Loot

London Loot 2009 saw the 10th London Loot collection, over the years Loot has established itself as one of the biggest student fundrasing events in the country attracting volunteers from all across the UK. It's also become one of the most successful events, this year raising and incredible total of over £48,000 in just two hectic days of collecting on London's streets and in tube and mainline stations.

Loot always takes place on the Wednesday and Thursday before the Easter weekend, 2010's event will be on the 31st March & 1st April demand for places is always high so get in touch with our Rags fundraiser by emailing Genna or by calling 01454 280404. 

Halloween Hoolie - Belfast Megaraid


Last year students pounded the streets of Belfast in Halloween fancy dress to help raise vital funds for MRF. It was a fantastic day raising an incredible £1,154.

This year Halloween Hoolie II will be taking place on 30th October. If your university or college would like to join in the fun then get in touch with Emma in our Belfast office either by email or by calling 02890 321283.

Bristol Megaraid

Each year the Bristol Megaraid takes place at the end of January, 2009 was another great year with students from Manchester, Exeter, Bristol, Warwick, Winchester Universities and Strode College all giving up their Saturday to take to the streets of Bristol City Centre to raise funds for us.

Despite the bitterly cold weather and the credit crunch a fantastic £3085 was raised. Students from Manchester scooped the prize for the most money collected no doubt in part to Dan Webster who claimed top spot in the individual totals.

Cardiff Megaraid

Cardiff MegaraidHot on the heels of our Bristol come the Cardiff Megaraid which takes place each year in February. the people of the Welsh capital has always been very generous to the Foundation and with the added bonus that there is often a Six Nations fixture the same weekend mean that the city is even busier than usual.

Flush Haggis - Edinburgh Megaraid

Warrick University Collectors Our annual ‘Flush Haggis’ October collection welcomes students from all over the country to come enjoy a Friday night out in Edinburgh and spend a day charming spare change from the general public all over town.  Spend Saturday night out on the town, sampling the delights of Edinburgh nightlife then relax and recover in the accommodation provided free of charge.  To date this event has raised a brilliant £52,473, an average of nearly £6000 a year.

With this being the 10th anniversary event we would dearly love to hit the £10,000 mark!

Dublin Megaraid

Dublin Megaraid

On a cold winter’s Saturday morning, 38 Students from four English Universities hit the streets of Dublin for Meningitis Research Foundation’s biggest street collection. A great day was had by all and an incredible €5077.90 was raised. This was the 5th year Megaraid organised in Dublin and the students thoroughly enjoyed their stay in Ireland.
