Initially, hydrocephalus. Hospitalised for procedural operation. Did not result in successful op. Revisited hospital for second hydrocephalus op. Contracted meningitis.
Two years in hospital, Kolkata and Aizawl (Mizoram). Long recovery, physiotherapy for 12 months or more, then further sessions. One more session just completed.
Walking remains an ongoing problem. Balance issues persistent, although this has improved somewhat. Four years now since first diagnosis. A lot of personal work, professional treatment, home guidance, overseas visits, all completed with various results. Still awaiting FULL recovery. Waiting......

Seek prevention, or get early diagnosis if possible. Maintain daily exercise. Always hope for complete recovery, accept assistance when offered. Keep good humour. Have a loving spouse, or family member. Don't give up.
