I was born premature weighing just two pounds; my lungs and immune system were underdeveloped (I'm assuming the neural tissue and bone barrow weren't fully formed yet).
When I was 3 I got bacterial meningitis. I am 23 right now and I remember those days in the hospital very vividly. I woke up one day with my hearing gone. All throughout school, I was in special ed because many assessors have concluded I had learning impairments, as well as terrible balance. However, I try my best. Not only that I now have a cochlear implant to help me hear. There is nothing holding me back!
