Shelby Didier
My daughter Shelby, blonde and blue-eyed just 34 years old, went to the emergency room but was sent home with pain pills as she didn’t have insurance.

"Within 24 hours she died"

Within 24 hours she died from bacterial meningitis. It is her birthday today (6th April 2010), she would be 35.

It just doesn't make any sense in the 21st century for my daughter to die from bacterial meningitis at just 34 years old.

We all miss Shelby and would like to prevent this from happening to another baby, child, young adult or elderly person.

Shelby loved sports and was good in sports, she also excelled in academics and earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees. She has two young boys, aged seven and five who look a lot like her, we see her when we see them.

She was a very healthy person most of her life but injured her knee in high school and it gave her great pain, that is why she went to the ER and she passed the next day.
